POKOTABI / Inosho
濃菜麺 井の庄
At Inosho in Nerima, diners can explore a variety of tastes, from the signature Nousaimen blending rich tonkotsu broth with heaps of vegetables to spicy Kara-Kara Nousaimen, creative vegetable toppings, and thin-noodle Hakata Soba.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
South of Nerima Station, Inosho's defining bowl is its signature Nousaimen. A deep, rich tonkotsu pork broth comes piled high with vegetables like cabbage and bean sprouts, caught firmly by thick noodles. Submerging the vegetables into the soup accentuates their natural sweetness, joining tender slices of chashu pork to create a thoroughly satisfying meal.
For a fiery kick, the Kara-Kara Nousaimen is an enticing alternative. A solid punch of spice rests over the underlying tonkotsu foundation, and diners can request a milder heat level when ordering to suit their preference. The shop also serves a tsukemen dipping style, where thick noodles are dipped into a concentrated broth, ideal for appreciating the chew and texture of the noodles themselves.
A roster of vegetable side toppings served in small bowls expands the meal further. Starting with Jiro Vege—a punchy, garlic-laced soy sauce preparation—the lineup includes Kara Vege with house chili oil and charred garlic, as well as tomato-based Toma Vege, allowing guests to transform the flavor profile midway through eating. Ordering plain rice, a set with mini Jiro Vege, or savory pork rice also makes it easy to relish every last drop of the broth.
Beyond the thick-noodle Nousaimen, the menu ventures into different territory with Hakata Soba, pairing the same tonkotsu broth with thin noodles, and Gyoko Ramen, accented with dried sardine notes and diced onions. Serving continuously from 10:00 through the afternoon and late into the night, it is an inviting stop to drop by solo for a hearty, restorative bowl.
